Filopapou Hill:

Opposite the Acropolis is a green hill which is a nice place to stroll and enjoy breathtaking views of the Acropolis, the city, and even the sea. The top of the hill is crowned with a monument dedicated to the Roman benefactor Philopapos, which gave its name to the hill. It’s a very mild climb, with lots of shade, ideal for a Shabbat afternoon walk.

How to get there?

Start from the pedestrian street under the acropolis (Robertou Galli/Apostolou Pavlou), where the buses make their u-turn. The paved pedestrian street behind the kiosk leads you to Filopapou, turning left as you go on.
